We love our pets

Ipo (which means sweetheart in Hawaiian) is a Maltese, almost 10 years old. She would like to be pack leader but that job is taken by Smoky.

Pookie was born 11/24/10 on Ohau. She is a super energtic Havenese. We have been through Canine Good Citizen Class and have done some basic Rally. She scored 196 points (out of 200) at a fun rally. We have started Agility on home made equipment and will be starting training classes soon.

Sumo is a three year old Brussels Griffon. She is a total couch potato and loves to be held. We participated in the October 2010 Hilo dog show and came in third. It was my first time showing dogs but Sumo's breeder had entered her previously.

We are getting another Brussels Griffon soon. She is from Precious Paws in Arroyo Grande, California. Due to Hawaii's quarintine laws she cannot travel here until about 10 months of age. Until then she will live with my brother is Joshua Tree, California. She is a black and tan Brussels Griffon.

We have two cats, Smokey and Buddy. This photo is from Buddy was little.

A small aviary in our greenhouse holds 8 parakeets.

Koko moved with us from the mainland. She went with me on many a windsurfing trip even though she hated to get wet. Playing fetch on shore was more her style. She died November 23, 2010. This photo "windswept dog" is from Celilo in the Columbia River Gorge.
