Your hosts Jerry and Markie live here with their two dogs, two cats, two Eclectus
parrots, six Nigerian Dwarf goats and 20 or so chickens. No pets are allowed in the
guest areas.
Markie was a train conductor in freight as well as passenger service. Jerry is an
electrical contractor. Markie is also a proofreader and copy editor.
We enjoy making and collecting art, gardening, attending gallery openings and art
events.
Markie lived for two years in Germany and speaks fluent German.
Markie grew up in South Dakota, Jerry in Los Angeles. We have lived (separately and
together) in Chicago, Saint Louis, Denver, Berlin, New York City, Albuquerque
Portland and San Francisco.
We have been on the Big Island for two years and did all of the renovation work to
turn our house into a bed and breakfast ourselves.
